Kate Moss reveals daughter Lila, 19, won’t wear her clothes because she’s too daring – Daily Mail | WHs Answers

She was known for her racy outfits and stunning runway looks in her modeling days in the 1990s.

And Kate Moss has revealed that her daughter Lila is refusing to wear some of her outfits because she finds them too daring.

The supermodel, 48, explained that her 19-year-old daughter, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, has taken an interest in her wardrobe.

But she said Lila won’t be wearing some of her miniskirts because she thinks they’re “too short” as she joked that her daughter was “prudish”.

Kate told Vogue magazine: “Purple has started wearing my stuff and we have to be careful! But she didn’t want to wear a miniskirt because it was too short, kids are so prudish these days!’

The mum went on to say that her daughter once said she would wear nipple covers under a see-through top, with Kate saying she advised her daughter and other young women not to do so.

The fashion legend went on to explain her concerns that teenagers are “scared” to be themselves as she described a time she tried to convince Lila to wear a Marc Jacobs mini dress.

‘[Lila said to me] ‘But Mama, nobody wears that!’ and I said, “No one wore a ’30s dress and sneakers when I was your age,” she added.

She said her daughter went on to admit that she felt like Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively when she wore the outfit later in the day, with Kate urging the youngsters to dress however they want lest they regret it.

However, Kate did cite her own fashion moment when she attended the 2007 V&A Gala in a dress that came loose during the night after infamously ripping her Christian Dior gown.

She joked that she looked like Veronica Lake and came out like rock star Courtney Love, but said the moment got her big publicity.

Jefferson and Kate – who dated Lila, who was born in 2002, from 2001 to 2004 – are on friendly terms and would ensure their daughter spent time with each of them regularly throughout her childhood.

While Lila still has a good relationship with both parents, she is often spotted with mother Kate when she is signed to her modeling agency.

The mother and daughter have walked fashion shows together and appeared together at this year’s Met Ball in New York.

Lila is also now the director of her own company, Grace Grove Ltd., a move that coincides with supermodel Kate liquidating three of her companies.

The company’s name is a nod to The Grove, the family’s north London home that Kate recently sold.

Speaking about growing up in the spotlight in a recent interview with Vogue, Lila confessed she was shocked by the attention her mother was receiving and admitted she was surprised her friends even knew who she was.

She explained, “I went to secondary school and everyone was like, ‘Oh, your mom is Kate Moss!’ You don’t really have a filter when you’re so young, and I was like, ‘How do you know who she is? She sold! She’s old and boring!”

Adding more about her relationship with her mother, Lila told the Fashion Bible: “I was quite protective of my mother.

“All my mom’s friends say I was so scary as a kid. I was pretty serious. But I would always copy them too.

“She always kept her head down and wasn’t looking at the camera, so I was always down and not looking at the camera. I’m still doing it.’
